Yes, Easter weekend is traditionally reserved for family time but that doesn't mean you can't squeeze in some girl time. The easiest way? Hosting a girls' night at home. It's just as much fun and it avoids all the back and forth in the group chat over which bar to go to – win, win. Even though you're staying in, make sure to dress up for the occasion in your favourite go-to outfit: jeans and a nice top. Opt for a frilly pastel blouse (it's spring, after all) and the denim fit of the season (aka, the relaxed straight). Don't forget the slip-on kitten heels that are so comfortable, you won't even need to swap them out for slippers.

Saturday: The Big BBQ


Because is it really a bank holiday weekend if you don't host a BBQ? Not in our books. Yes, it might rain and yes, you might burn the burger patties, but these are the seemingly small moments you'll cherish for springs to come. You'll probably be rushing around all day (whether chasing around after the kids or topping up everyone's drinks), so keep cool in a flowing maxi skirt paired with a denim waistcoat and chunky sandals. Sunday: Family Lunch


With no rush-hour traffic to beat, no packed lunches to make, no bags filled with spare changes of clothes to carry and no expectations to meet, sometimes the best days are those spent at home. Especially on a Sunday, which should always be deserved for downtime. But as it's Easter, make the most of the extra day off work on Monday and invite the whole family around for a good-old Sunday roast.
