Like most people, we spent a lot of the year at home to keep us safe and support our amazing NHS! Our Islanders At Home got creative and made some amazing content for us this year!
We couldn’t wait to welcome you back to shop with us IRL so we did everything we could to make our stores as safe as possible. Shout out to our amazing store teams!
2020 meant we had no live gigs or festivals to go to, but we brought the party to your living rooms with both our Big Weekender and Lockdown Live sessions. Thanks for tuning in!
Mental health was at the forefront of this year (and beyond) so we spoke up and raised vital funds for Mind and other feel good charities - over £1,000,000 in total! We’re so proud!
Taking to the streets to celebrate Pride is our highlight of the summer and while we weren’t able to do that this year, we did get to celebrate at home with the Queen, Michelle Visage, herself!
We celebrated Black History Month and spoke to our black colleagues and friends of RI to celebrate and explore their black identity. Go back and read their stories if you haven’t!
It’s been a tough year for our beloved high street, but we’ve felt nothing but love from you and our neighbours! Thank you for your loyalty and support.
Captain Sir Tom Moore was our hero of the year, vowing to raise £1000 for NHS charities before his 100th birthday by walking laps around his garden. He raised over £30m by the big day!
Our most important activity of the year was definitely looking after our mental health, whether that be with meditation, breathing, stillness or yoga. Keep it up!
Dolly Parton has not only given us a brand new Christmas movie, she’s also spent much of the year donating to different causes, including helping to fund the Covid vaccine! What a woman.
Our favourite feed cutie of the year has to go to @squidthegriff. What better way to round off the year than with Squid and Pretzel, the Brussels Griffons, dressed as snowmen?
Gemma has been our mood for the whole year tbh…
