With over 300 stores, River Island has a place in the hearts' of communities across the UK and the world and we're proud to support the charities and organizations that strive to improve these communities. Our approach is to provide funding to charities to allow them to use their expertise to provide the greatest benefit possible to those in need. Sometimes there is a clear link with what we do, sometimes there isn't, but there is always a clear need for what they do. Here are some of the charities we currently support…

This year River Island is celebrating 25 years of support for Newlife Foundation for Disabled Children. In fact, we helped set up the charity and have been donating clothing ever since. To mark the silver anniversary this year we are donating all of the 5p bag fees that we get in the UK stores to Newlife who will use them to help UK disabled children and their families - so the fee goes back in to the communities it came from. In addition, we're donating 25% of the price of specially designed girls and boys' t-shirts.
